An original painting and prints of a blood moon rising over the Cuillin Hills on Skye.
A mix of mediums and techniques are combined on the canvas to produce a very unique & atmospheric painting.
Mediums include oil paint, acrylic, ink, spray paint, glaze and varnish.
This is a heavily textured canvas with thick rough texture applied especially to the foreground rocks.
Some fluorescent oranges and yellows are used in this painting, combined with glazes to create more depth and vibrancy.
The layers of glaze also help to depict the ever changing wild weather that constantly sweeps across Skye and Scotland’s Inner Hebridean Islands.
The painting continues around the deep edges of the canvas giving a very contemporary style and can be hung unframed.
Framing can be arranged on request.
Original mixed media painting in acrylic paint, spray paint, oil paint and acrylic ink on box canvas.
